Who we are
Inventory King is operated by Aspen Consulting ("we", "us", and "our"). Inventory King is an embedded Shopify app that helps merchants forecast demand, plan replenishment, manage supplier settings, create purchase plans, receive stock, and manage optional shared-stock rules.
Information we collect from Shopify
When you install or use Inventory King, we collect only the information needed to provide the app. This can include your shop domain, shop name, shop contact email, app authentication session information, product and variant identifiers, titles, SKUs, vendors, product status, inventory item identifiers, location identifiers and names, and inventory quantities.
We also collect paid-order line-item information needed for sales analysis and forecasting. Inventory King converts this information into daily sales totals by product variant. For optional variant pooling, we retain order and line-item identifiers, the configured stock owner, the adjusted quantity, location, and adjustment status so that stock deductions and reversals can be processed accurately. Inventory King does not store customer profile records or customer contact details.
Information you provide directly
You may provide supplier lead times, minimum order quantities, supplier contact details, purchase-plan notes, receiving notes, and optional shared-stock rules. If you use the in-app feedback form, we collect the message you submit, its category, your shop context, and the shop contact email made available by Shopify.
If you provide or maintain product classification information, including harmonized-system or tariff classification information, we treat it as operational product data and use it only to support the app features and records you request.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate your shop, synchronize catalog and inventory information, calculate sales-based forecasts, prepare replenishment recommendations and purchase plans, record stock receipts, support optional shared-stock adjustments, maintain sync and audit records, respond to support requests, and improve the reliability of Inventory King.
We do not sell merchant or customer information. We do not use merchant or customer information for advertising, and we do not knowingly collect customer information directly through tracking technologies in the app.
How information is shared
We share information only as needed to operate Inventory King: with Shopify to read and update the Shopify resources that you authorize; with infrastructure providers that host the application and database; and with professional service providers where necessary for security, support, legal obligations, or operation of the service.
When the feedback-email feature is enabled, feedback messages, shop identity, and the merchant contact email are sent to Brevo for email delivery to Aspen Consulting. We do not share data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Retention and deletion requests
We retain shop settings, operational analytics, product and inventory records, purchase-plan and receiving records, optional product-classification records, audit records, and feedback records while you use Inventory King and after uninstall. This helps preserve historical analytics and records if you reinstall the app or request support.
You may request deletion of your shop's Inventory King data at any time by emailing us at contact@aspenconsulting.co.uk from an authorized shop contact and including your myshopify.com domain. We will verify the request and delete the requested shop data unless we must retain limited information for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS connections and access controls. Information may be processed in the United Kingdom and in other countries where our hosting, database, email, and support providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. To make a request, email contact@aspenconsulting.co.uk and include your shop domain and the nature of your request. We may need to verify your authority before responding.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Inventory King or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the last-updated date.
